According to a website that can track the distances on a road (cmap.m-plex.com), I’m at about 19.5% of the way. 645 miles down, 2583 to go.
I’ve not even gone 1 out of 5 miles on this thing.
I shouldn’t get discouraged. The distances out west are daunting to any travel goal in a car. That and my wife says it’s nothing but brown mountains out west. She’s wrong, but I know what she’s getting at. It’s big. Really, really, really big.
I’m starting to get to the point where the miles to travel aren’t near home. And once I’ve gotten to the closest undriven part, I’m in Iowa. It isn’t like I’ve gotten anywhere fun. Oh, and if I head east, the closest undriven miles are in Ohio. On the way to Toledo. Fun city (it may well be, I don’t know).
